Welcome to the Blue Knights Florida 30 website. We are a local Blue Knights chapter based in Cedar Key, Florida. Blue Knights Florida 30 was established January 31, 2011.
The Blue Knights® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club is a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement men and women who enjoy riding motorcycles. In the Spring of 1974, Ed Gallant from the Bangor, Maine P.D. and Chuck Shuman from the Brewer, Maine P.D. met with five other officers from the area and formed a small, local motorcycle club. The rest, as they say, is history. Soon, Blue Knight chapters were being formed in states all over the U.S. to include Florida. With the addition of Canada, and later Australia, the Blue Knights became an international organization, and currently located in 29 countries. The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club is the oldest and largest law enforcement motorcycle club in the world. Membership in the Blue Knights is open to active and retired full-time and active reserve sworn, governmental, law enforcement officers that ride (any make) motorcycle off-duty.
Many Blue Knights actively participate and sponsor numerous fund raising programs for charities such as the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Toys for Tots, D.A.R.E., Concerns of Police Survivors and local area charities.
Our Chapter (Florida 30) has adopted the Levy A.R.C as our main charity. During the year we organize fundraisers and assist other organizations that help support them. To learn about A.R.C. feel free to browse their website at ARC Florida.
The Blue Knights are also about promoting motorcycling safety, family recreation, and the pleasure of riding. We hope you enjoy your stay at Blue Knights Florida 30.......
